1. Who we are
Trimscope (“we,” “us”) provides the Everdue mobile and web application for tracking recurring expenses, renewal reminders, import review, cancellation guidance, and related Premium features. Contact: support@trimscope.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we use Clerk for authentication. That typically includes your email address, password (handled by Clerk), and account identifiers. We do not see your raw password.
Subscription and app data you enter
You may provide:
- Subscription names, amounts, billing dates, frequencies, and status
- Reminder preferences and notification permission state
- CSV text you paste for discovery (which may include merchant memos or other details from your statements)
- Cancellation notes, savings events, household invite codes, and similar product data
By default this data is stored on your device (local storage). If you enable cloud sync, the same kinds of records may also be stored in our Appwrite database associated with your account.
Purchases
If you buy Premium (or other paid plans), purchases are processed by Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat (and on web, optionally Stripe). We receive entitlement and subscription status needed to unlock features — not your full card number.
Device and usage data
The app may process device identifiers needed for push/local notifications, crash diagnostics, and (if enabled) privacy-conscious product analytics such as feature events. Analytics are configured to avoid sending full transaction descriptions, notes, tokens, or account numbers.
3. How we use information
- Provide and sync your subscription library, insights, and reminders
- Authenticate you and secure your account
- Process entitlements for free and paid features
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the product using aggregated or privacy-safe analytics
- Comply with law and protect against abuse
4. How we share information
We share data with service providers only as needed to run Everdue:
- Clerk — authentication
- Appwrite — optional cloud database and server functions
- RevenueCat / Apple / Google / Stripe — purchases and entitlements
- Analytics providers (if enabled) — privacy-safe product events
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising networks.
5. Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or delete your account. Cloud-synced records are retained while your account is active and are purged when you delete your account (subject to short-lived backups or logs required for security and operations).
6. Your choices
- Export — Settings includes a data export (JSON) you can share or save.
- Delete account — Settings includes account deletion, which removes your Clerk account, clears local app data for that user, and requests purge of associated cloud and billing records.
- Notifications — You can disable renewal reminders in Settings and at the OS level.
- Cloud sync — Optional; the app is designed to work local-first.
7. Children
Everdue is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
